How to request deletion
- Open PingPongPal and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion request in the app.
Important: If Firebase requires a recent login for security, sign out, sign back in, and repeat the steps above.
Data deleted when your request is processed
- Your authentication account
- Your private profile and public profile
- Your profile photo
- Your saved favorite tables
- Your friendship and block records, active matches, and location shares
- Tables you created
- Ratings and reports you submitted for tables
- Message reports involving your account
- Push-delivery records, rate-limit records, background jobs, and stored data exports
- Your username reservation after the remaining cleanup has completed
These deletions are requested immediately when the in-app account deletion completes.
Data that may be retained
- Match records in Games, with your direct participant identifiers replaced by a deleted-player identifier
- Chat records in Chats and chat messages already shared with other users
PingPongPal may retain these records to preserve multiplayer history, other users' inboxes, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and leaderboard integrity.
Retention period
Data listed in the deletion section above is targeted for immediate deletion once the request is processed. Shared chat records are retained for the other participant and direct author/actor identifiers are replaced with a deleted-player identifier. Shared or integrity-related records are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
